The first film I worked on as both writer and editor. This silent film was shot on a Bolex 16mm camera. It's pretty simple, just about a gal who gets stood up for a date.

I learned a number things from this project, namely that you should probably never shoot smart phone screens.

A short horror comedy that I wrote during my first semester at Humboldt State.

The overall story did become more of a collaborative effort during filming, but the framework I wrote is still there. Part of me wishes I could have been the one to edit this student film.

My first attempt at making a short documentary. I was the one man crew for this project.

The subject was a former roommate of mine.

A surreal student film that I edited. It was meant to portray the sort of irrational, intrusive thoughts some people have when dealing with anxiety.

All of the sound featured in the short was recorded in post.

A documentary I edited during my third semester, concerning the life and experiences of a local homeless man.

Robert, the subject, has a tendency to speak for long periods of time without pausing, which made editing a challenge.

This was a short film I shot and edited during my fourth semester at Humboldt State.

Due to time constraints, It was shot in less than an hour by the seat of our pants, with one actor playing both parts.

I rolled with the punches and decided to lean into the absurdity of it.

This short film was shot over the course of two afternoons.

We weren't able to get our hands on any mics, so all the sound was put together in post with what was available online.
